Why hello there! Thanks so much for stopping by the SaferDates.com Online Magazine. I’m Jessica Walker your Safer in the City columnist. I persuaded the team to let me write the “About Us” page because I feel it is one of the most important pages on a site. Too many companies seem to copy and paste corporate mumbo jumbo that misrepresents the “US” factor. I feel the “About Us” page should tell the story about well… US!
In the beginning…
SaferDates.com, the online dating website, was created after one of our founders heard a story of a woman who’s experience with online dating ended tragically. This story touched us so much that we have made it our mission to dedicate every day to providing an atmosphere that empowers the online community to defend itself against the threat of criminals both on and offline. Everyone on our staff strongly believes that empowerment is driven by knowledge. We are proof of it personally as the majority of us have backgrounds in martial arts and self-defense.
Then came the Online Magazine…
This focus on empowerment steered our efforts towards the development of the Safer Dates Online Magazine that you are reading right now. Our site naturally evolved into this resource due in part to the feedback from our subscribers and members.
Through this new platform our team can act as curators and bring you the most up-to-date and useful information available by way of articles, news, tips, reviews, opinions, videos on self-defense techniques and adventurous dating destinations as well as a monthly Blog Talk Radio show where yours truly conducts in-depth interviews with industry experts.
Our goal is to be THE resource in safer relationship practices – focusing on both your emotional and physical safety. With safety as our top priority, we will still offer the very best online tools such as InvestiDATE, our background check, which screens an individual of your choice for felonies, misdemeanors, sex offender status and marital status.
